Veni Vidi Vici!

Kye Holmes, But please. Call me Holmes.

I work at Disney World as a Ride Operator, and except for the terrible heat in this state I love my job.

(Role Play account only, I don't own anything)

Cal giggled as she watched him eat. Crap. She’d probably be that tired and ravenous soon too. Sighing, she pouted absentmindedly. She was really worried about doing well. Hopefully her face wouldn’t hurt too much from smiling all the time to little girls fawning all over her. Picking up her pizza, she delicately bit it and chewed thoughtfully. “What’s there to do around here?” she asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

Blushing, she scratched the back of her head. “I’m 16 right now, but my birthday is the 26th, so. It’s coming up soon,” she admitted. Hopefully he wouldn’t think she was a small immature child. Sure, she was a bit shorter, but she liked to think she acted beyond her years. Having to grow up at such a young age and learn to fend for herself.

“Uh, well. The parks, and we’re right by Orlando so there’s that too. I haven’t really been doing much as of yet, with all the work and shit,” He took a drink of his soda before finishing off his pizza. He was chewing on his crust when she spoke. He raised an eyebrow at how young she was. That probably was a reason he got her as a roommate then, right? Since she was just a kid.

“You’re a baby,” He said, grabbing another piece. Kye didn’t want to sound like he was judging her based on her age, but she was pretty young. He didn’t think they let kids that age into Disney to work as Face Characters, but he wasn’t an expert.

Roomies // Kye & Calliope

She smiled and nodded. “I’ll probs snag something soon,” she commented. “But I like your name. It’s different. But sure, Holmes,” Cal responded, tucking her hair behind her ear. She nodded again and waved him off. “It’s fine! Go for it. You must have had a big day. Fridays I’m guessing are packed.” Watching him leave, she smiled. He seemed nice. Going to the fridge, she grabbed a coke and then hunted down a plate in the multitude of cabinets.

Finally finding one, she walked over to the coffee table and grabbed a piece from the box. Pepperoni. Yum. Taking a bite, she chewed as she set the coke down on the table. Sitting down, she curled up on the couch and was soon halfway done with the slice. As she put the pizza on her plate, she leaned back forward and popped the can open.

Kye walked back in after a while and she was sprawled out, lounging. Sitting up, she grabbed her plate and giggled when he sighed. “Do you play anyone or…?” she asked conversationally. He was pretty cute. Precious. And his hair was definitely something that made him noticeable. There was a certain softness to his face that she couldn’t particularly place. “How old are you?” she asked gently, trying not to sound offensive.

Kye glanced over at her before sitting up and grabbing a pizza. He was starving and didn’t feel like using a plate at the moment, so he just took a bite. “Nah, I work the rides,” He said after he finished chewing. “You?” He ate some more, taking big bites and was finished with almost all of it in no time flat. He didn’t think of manners or eating politely, he was hungry damnit. Kye grabbed his soda, opened it and took a drink before answering her second question.

“I’m 19, how old are you sugar?” He asked, licking his lips and sitting back again, taking another bite of his pizza. He figured it’d be good to get these questions out of the way now, so they could get more comfortable with each other.

Roomies // Kye & Calliope

wakemewithakisscal:

Cal was a bit worried. Weren’t they supposed to have same sex roommates? Shrugging, in all honesty, she didn’t mind. Towel drying her hair, she shook it out and walked out of the bathroom. She had just taken a nice long shower and was in a white tank top and some pink underwear. Going to the closet, she grabbed a pair of shorts and her slippers. She wondered what it would be like living here. Probably better than home. Things were hard. But she was glad she had had enough money to fly all the way here. She had to thank Amber for the suggestion. It was nice to be somewhere unfamiliar and new. It made her feel like she could start over.

She heard his voice and “Coming!” she called out, skipping down the stairs and padding into the kitchen eagerly. Smiling at the boy, she held out her hand for his to shake. Her stomach growled and she put her other hand over it, giggling. “Guess I’m hungry. Hi, I’m Calliope. Or you can call me Cal.”

Kye looked at her, glancing her over before smiling. He had just finished putting the sodas away, and took her hand in his shaking it. “Help yourself, it’s on the coffee table. Plates and stuff are put away.” He let go of her hand, and grabbed a water out of the fridge. “It’s a pleasure to meet ya’ Cal, my names actually Kye but everyone calls me Holmes,” He said twisting off the cap and taking a drink. He noticed her wet hair. “Oh, you take a shower? That sounds awesome right now, so you can go help yourself to the pizza and I’ma hop in right quick. Be back, help yourself!” He said again. He didn’t want to get into a long conversation with her right away, or well before he took his shower at least.

He hurried to his room after excusing himself, and grabbed some clothes. He picked out a pair of sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt with a tight sports bra. He couldn’t wear his binder, it was making his chest hurt too much and you where only suppose to wear it for a short period of time. His chest was flat enough that she shouldn’t notice, along with the baggy t-shirt. Kye went to the bathroom, and quickly stripped down before hopping in the shower. He just wanted to cool down and get cleaned up before settling down for the night after a long day of work.

Kye dried off when he finished his shower, got dressed before tossing his old clothes in the hamper in the bathroom, taking his binder into his bedroom and putting it away. He headed down to the living room, and walked to the kitchen grabbing his water where he’d left it on the counter, a soda. Kye sat down on the couch once he had everything and let out a sigh.
